Need to chill out indoors? Catch The Story of Mel Brown at midnight at Registry Theatre .
Extending its “Blues Into the Night” programming (see below), Registry Theatre proudly presents Love Lost & Found: The Story of Mel Brown , a documentary about late local blues legend produced by Philip Bast and Sean Jasmins – meet the filmmakers at the show!
From BB King to Buddy Guy, Albert Collins to Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland, Mel Brown played with the best of them. After settling in Kitchener, Brown became an inspiration and a mentor to a generation of Canadian blues musicians, including Sean Kellerman and Steve Strongman. From Mississipi to Kitchener, Love Lost & Found is the fascinating life story of a blues original.
+ BLUES ON THE NIGHT SHIFT featuring Jonathan Knight – Matt Weidinger Band with special guests Cheryl Lescom and The Butcher’s Wife. Doors at 8pm, show at 9pm, concert tickets $10 – available at Centre in the Square box office or at the door.
