T ransform your high-res self into a low-res avatar

Tired of being yourself? So are we. Year of Code Waterloo Region will spend Night\Shift taking pictures of any person’s “fine self” and beaming those files to our ultra-secret bunker, where images will be added to our live and ever-changing large-scale projection inside the 44 Gaukel building.

Guided by knowledgeable experts, festival explorers can get a crash course in coding with Scratch and make their avatars do and say things in various scenes and situations from the Region’s past, present and future. Get your picture done in costume, or add one digitally, and once your avatar is ready, program it to do your bidding!
